There is a 2 hour and 15 minute time limit imposed on these matches. Practice and classification will be facilitated for all disciplines on Thursday, 5 October 2023. Each discipline will be played under the below formats.
- Singles: Four (4) bowls per player. Twenty one (21) shots up
- Pairs: Three (3) bowls per player. Fifteen (15) ends
In the event that a discipline is unable to field an adequate number of teams or competitors, BA will endeavour to ensure that all sides have equal opportunity to compete. It is encouraged that a minimum of six (6) teams or players (for singles) will be required within each discipline for a draw to be developed.
In the event that not enough teams or competitors have been fielded into a discipline, BA may look to merge disciplines to create a complete draw for all to compete within. This however will only be organised as a last resort. The complete schedule of play will be released to all STA’s once the team submission deadline has passed.
Classification
All athletes are required to have a national level classification through International Bowls for the Disabled (IBD) prior to the start of the event. Only classification reviews will occur at the event and once BA has received registrations, any athletes requiring review will be notified.
