Gala Week – January 2024 – Hobart

The first of the Bowls Tasmania State Championships will be held in the Hobart area from Saturday 6 January – Wednesday 10 January 2024. Beltana is the host club and other clubs being used will be Rosny Park, Howrah, Kingborough and New Norfolk.

These Championships will include the Open and B Grade Mixed Pairs, Open and B Grade Men’s and Women’s Triples and Bowling Arm Singles and Pairs. This is the first time that B Grade players have been able to compete in their own Mixed Pairs and Triples events.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from the family, the Open Mixed Pairs will now be known as the Sue Geeves Open Mixed Pairs with the winners receiving, in addition to the normal $1,000 prizemoney, an additional sum of $500 to help offset the costs of the winners attending the Australian Mixed Pairs Championships in October 2024.

Please note that the Boys and Girls Junior Singles and Pairs Championships will be held separately in Launceston from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 January 2024.   Round 2 of Junior Statewide Challenge will also be held at Longford on Sunday 14 January 2024.
