Pennant Forms

  • Interstate Clearance Forms

Any player wishing to change their nominated club to a club affiliated with a different State or Territory Association (STA) must obtain and submit a Clearance Application from the STA they are relocating from before becoming eligible to play in any championship event at their new club that is affiliated with a different STA.

All player clearances and transfers (including interstate clearances and transfers) now occur via BowlsLink. BowlsLink must be used to complete an exchange of a participant’s information from one club to
another. Paper forms will no longer be used for interstate clearances and transfers but will still be required for Interstate Pennant Declarations. The receiving club is responsible for ensuring any affiliation and competition eligibility requirements are adhered to following a transfer. Clubs should advise the receiving club if a player involved in a clearance / transfer is under suspension.

For any technical issues or assistance with an Interstate transfer, the Bowls Australia contact will be
the BowlsLink Manager – contact via bowlslink@bowls.com.au

  • Interstate Pennant Declarations

No interstate clearance form is required for pennant play in more than one STA. However, an
State or Territory (STA) Pennant Declaration is required. The Declaration must be approved by the players home STA and should be submitted to the STA in the state in which the player intends to
compete in pennant. The Declaration cannot be done online – the paper form of the document must continue to be used and can be downloaded below:

  • Permit To Play Competitions in another Region in Tasmania Information

A player wishing to play pennant in two different Tasmanian Regions must complete the Permit to Play Pennant (TAS Competitions) form (below).

The player must nominate which of the two clubs is the player’s primary club.

The player’s primary club must sign the request and send the form to the club in the other Tasmanian Region that the player wishes to play for.

The form – signed by both clubs – must be approved by Bowls Tasmania before the player is eligible to play pennant with the club in the other Region.

This form is not a clearance form to a club in another Region.

Players must be registered and pay full affiliation fees in both Regions to be entitled to play pennant for both clubs.   They must also be submitted by both clubs into the BowlsLink database.   Club fees are the decision of individual clubs.
