VALE Barry Monson
It is with deep regret that Bowls Tasmania and Bowls North West announces that Barry Monson passed away last Thursday on the North-West Coast. Barry was 82.
Barry was a member of several bowls’ clubs on the North-West Coast and was very well known in bowls circles. Barry was a hard-working administrator and served as Secretary of the North-Western Tasmania Bowls Association for many years. He was a President and a Life Member of the Association.
Barry was a champion bowler and won many club, regional and state championships over a long period of time. He played 55 games for Tasmania. He was a selector for both the North-West and State Open sides and was also a coach of both club and representative sides.
Barry gave outstanding and dedicated service to bowls in Tasmania and in particular on the North-West Coast over many years.
