2022 was the first opportunity Bowls Australia has had to showcase their new initiative of conducting all the national events in this format.   Congratulations BA on a great event and I’m sure all in Tassie will be looking forward to the 2023 edition

Once again our bowlers from Bowls Tasmaniahave excelled at this level and again demonstrated the strength of the sport on the apple isle.   Below is a summary of the 2022 National highlights for our Bowls Tasmania bowlers. Special mention to our GOLD medallists

CHAMPION OF CHAMPION SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Outstanding play from Mark Nitz saw him win 6 from his 7 games and finished equal on wins and only 1 shot off the winner for the overall title. Congratulations on SILVER Mark.

MULTI DISABILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS:

The Tassie team performed extremely well over the 6 days and had a number of medalists in the various disciplines. Huge congratulations to Debbie Maher on GOLD

Congratulations to Lachie Sims and Taelyn Male on reaching 50 games for Tasmania.   Also special mention of Mark Strochnetter who has now gone into outright 2nd spot on the all-time games record list for the state.

AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Playing other states and territories champions we again (as we did in April for the 2021 champs), performed above expectations with a number of great performances medalling in 5 of the 9 disciplines
