BOWLS SOUTH TAKE OUT STATE WIDE CHALLENGE

The final two rounds of Bowls Tasmania’s Open State Wide Challenge were played at North Launceston today.

Bowls South men won both their games to convincingly win the men’s open shield with 69 points in front of Bowls North with 48 points and Bowls North West on 27 points.

Bowls North 1 women also both their games today to win the women’s open shield from Bowls North West with 41 points (+7 shots) and Bowls South with 41 points (-77 shots).

The overall State Wide Challenge shield – which incorporates all results from the open, seniors and junior SWC competitions – saw Bowls South finish on top with 241 points, Bowls North finished in second place  with 225 points and Bowls North West third with 218 points.
