Bowls Tasmania (BT) is the state sporting organisation responsible for the leadership, development and management of Bowls in Tasmania. We are a not-for-profit organisation governed by a voluntary board that provides the strategic direction for the sport and the strategies that are implemented by the board and staff. There are 70 clubs and over 5,000 participants state-wide. BT is affiliated with Bowls Australia and World Bowls.
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Administration Assistant with proven experience in a similar role to assist the CEO coordinate Board and operational requirements. You must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to help with administrative tasks for other departments as the need arises. Your attention to detail, presentation and time management skills will be exceptional.
The Administration Assistant will perform administrative duties including:
Reception and customer service.
Administration Support to CEO.
Coach and officials database.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and may have come out of another sporting organisation or not for profit where frequent contact with Board members and clubs and members occurs.
To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:
Great customer service skills.
Ability to cope with multiple tasks.
Strong computer skills (word, excel, access) and the ability to learn new programs.
Comprehensive organisational skills to meet deadlines.
General knowledge of lawn bowls events (draws & schedules)
The suitable applicant could be required to travel for events or meetings if required.
