Disability Championships Draws

The event Committee met to determine the event requirements and subsequently conducted the draws.
Below is a summary of relevant important information.

Day of the Event
As a result of the number of entries, it has been decided to stage the event on one day, Sunday 25th January.
It is felt that a better atmosphere will prevail having all entrants together on the same day.
Format
The committee has decided to conduct 3 divisions during these championships.
1. Men’s Combined (incorporating Physical + Vision categories)
2. Open Intellectual (linking male and females entrants)
3. Women’s Physical
Times during day of the Event
To complete the event, 5 time slots are required, staggered over 1 ½ hour intervals. In an effort to enhance the atmosphere and have all division finish at about the same time (bearing in mind 2 division only need 3 time slots), the commencing times of each division vary slightly, as per below;
1. Men’s Combined commences at 9:30am (Grand Final commences at 3:30pm)
2. Open Intellectual commences at 12:30pm (final matches commence at 3:30pm)
3. Women’s Physical commences at 12:30pm (final matches commence at 3:30pm)
Opening + Closing Ceremony
Disability Ambassador Rebecca Van Asch will be in attendance.
A short opening address will be conducted by BTAS at 9:00am on Sunday morning (Roll-Up is 9:15).
The Closing Ceremony and medal presentation will be conducted by BTAS at the conclusion of the last matches (approximately 4:30pm).
Medical Certification
A reminder that it is a condition of entry into the event that you provide a medical certificate confirming your condition, and how it effects you.
If you have not already provided this to Bowls Tasmania, please ensure you provide this on the day of competition.
Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of your entry.
