Tasmanian State Championships
Entries have now closed and Bowls Tasmania are pleased to announce a 17% increase in entries for this years Championships. This is a significant rise for Bowls in Tasmania considering numbers of registered players across Australia has taken a decline in recent years.
With a massive increase in Men’s entries from the past few years, their entries have risen by a massive 23%. These are the highest entries by the Tasmanian Men in the past 7 years. While the women’s section has not seen as big a shift, it has still seen a 9% rise on last years entries.
This rise entries is accompanied with the significant increase in the total prize pool for this event, with prize money being awarded down to losing semi finalists this year.
