The first of the Bowls Tasmania State Championships will be held in the Launceston area from Saturday 3 January – Wednesday 7 January 2023. The host club is North Launceston. Supporting clubs will be Longford, Kings Meadows and Invermay.
These Championships will include the Sue Geeves Open Mixed Pairs, Open Men’s and Women’s Triples and Bowling Arm Singles and Pairs.
Winners of the Sue Geeves Open Mixed Pairs and the Open Men’s and Women’s Triples earn the right to play in the Australian Championships which will be played as part of The Nationals which is being held in Perth, Western Australia in October 2026. Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Geeves family, the Sue Geeves Open Mixed Pairs winners will receive, in addition to the normal $1,000 prizemoney, an additional sum of $500 to help offset the costs of the winners attending Bowls Australia’s Australian Mixed Pairs Championships.
