Vale Madge Strochnetter
It is with deep regret that Bowls Tasmania announces that Madge Strochnetter passed unexpectedly but peacefully after a short illness on Monday this week. Madge was 74.
Madge was a member of the Bowls Tasmania Senior Women’s State Selection Panel and was also the Bowls Tasmania Senior Women’s Team Manager. She was also the Bowls North Senior Women’s Selector and served on the Bowls North Board for a number of years.
Madge was a long-time member of the Longford Club and was the heartbeat of the Club.
Madge gave outstanding and dedicated service to bowls in Tasmania and particularly in the North over many years.
Madge will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her commitment to the bowling community will never be forgotten
On behalf of President Lynne McDougall and the Bowls Tasmania Board we offer our deepest sympathy to the family of Madge.
Rest in peace, Madge.
