Volunteers wanted for Bowls Australia’s The Nationals 2025 in Tasmania
Bowls Australia is hosting The Nationals in Devonport and Burnie from 10 – 27 November 2025 and Bowls Tasmania is seeking volunteers to help deliver what will be the biggest lawn bowls event ever held in Tasmania.
The Nationals 2025 incorporate six of the sport’s most revered competitions (the Australian Champion of Champions, Australian Under-18 Championships, Para Nationals, Australian Senior Sides Championships, Australian Sides Championships and the Australian Championships) and no less than thirty-one national titles. The championships feature a variety of events encompassing all ages and abilities, including junior, open-age, senior, para and open events, with more than six hundred and fifty competitors across sixteen days of competition.
Burnie will be hosting the Para Championships from 11 – 15 November 2025 with all other events being held at Devonport from 10 – 27 November 2025. Most volunteers required will be at Devonport.
We are specifically looking for national umpires (ITO’s will be present to help them), markers, measurers, general volunteers (scoreboard attendants, information providers etc), mobility and access volunteers for carers (for kicking bowls, picking up bowls, pushing wheelchairs etc) and first aid volunteers. We need to know where they are available and when.
Volunteers are invited to express their interest by completing the following form. It is easy to complete and will take just a few minutes.
