After a great start with the Tridents in second place after Day Two, things tightened up with the Tridents finishing in eighth position with eight wins from its eighteen games at Bowls Australia’s Bowls Premier League (BPL)#18 which concluded at Club Pine Rivers today.   The Tridents were just one win out of the top five.   This is a big improvement on BPL#17 when the Tridents only won four games and finished last.

The Tridents started the final day in great fashion defeating Perth Suns in straight sets 9-4 and 5-1.   In their second game, the Tridents were defeated by the Moreton Bay Pirates 2-9 and 6-8.   In their final game which was live streamed, the Tridents lost to Gold Coast Hawks 2-12 and 1-7.

Third-placed Tweed Heads Osprey won all three finals they played to take out BPL#18, defeating Melbourne Extreme in the grand final 4-6, 6-5 and 1-0 in the tie breaker.
