Tasmania Tridents storm into second place on Day Two of BPL#18

Tasmania Tridents continued their great form in Bowls Australia’s Bowls Premier League (BPL)#18 continued at Club Pine Rivers in Brisbane today winning three of their four games played and finishing the day in second position.

The Tridents defeated Perth Suns first up in a tie-break 7-2, 4-8 and 1-0.

In their second game, the Tridents were too good for the Brisbane Pirates winning in straight sets 5-4 and 8-3.

In their third game today, the Tridents made it three in a row defeating Melbourne Pulse 4-3 and 13-0 to top the ladder.

In their final game which was broadcast live on Kayo and Fox Sport, the Tridents were beaten by the Sydney Lions 8-8 and 1-11.   Trailing 4-8 going into the final end of the first set, Rebecca Van Asch playing three magnificent lead bowls to hold three shots and Michael Sims played a superb up shot with his final bowl to score four shots to draw the first set.

BPL#18 continues tomorrow with the Tasmania Tridents taking on Gold Coast Hawks, Adelaide Pioneers, Tweed Heads Osprey, Melbourne Extreme and then Melbourne Pulse in the televised game on Kayo and Fox Sports at 8.45pm.
