Tasmania Tridents best day at Bowls Premier League
The Tasmania Tridents had their best day at the Bowls Premier League #17 which is being played at the Moama Bowling Club this week. The Tridents again played great bowls all day, winning two of their four games and losing the other two in tie breakers leaving them languishing at the bottom of the ladder as the competition moves into the final day.
The Tridents started the day in style defeating the Adelaide Pioneers in a tiebreaker – their first win in a tie breaker for the competition. With Rebecca Van Asch leading well and Taelyn Male playing some big shots as skip, the tridents won 7-3, 6-7 and 1-0 in the tiebreaker.
Moreton Bay Pirates stole back the momentum in the second game winning a close match 5-4, 6-7 and 1-0 in the tiebreaker.
Playing more consistent bowls, the Tridents bounced back and won the third game of the day against Gold Coast Hawks in straight sets 5-3 and 11-2.
In their final game on day four, which was shown live on Fox Sports and Kayo, the Tridents had the better of the Perth Suns everywhere but on the scoreboard losing in a tie breaker sets 4-4, 3-3 and 1-0.

The event concludes on Friday with two games being played by the Tasmania Tridents against Melbourne Extreme and the Sydney Lions. Finals action commences at 4pm which will be televised live on Fox Sport and Kayo at 9.00pm.
