by Rob McGuire on November 10, 2022

Despite the Tasmania Tridents languishing in ninth position after four days at Bowls Australia’s Bowls Premier League#16 which is being played at Club Pine Rivers in Brisbane this week, the Tridents can still make the finals if they can win their last three games on Friday and other results go their way such is the tightness of the competition.

Melbourne Pulse had a tight tussle with the Tridents in the second game of the day winning the first set 5-2 before the Tridents fought back from 2-6 down after three ends to narrowly win the second set 7-6.   Melbourne won the tie-breaker 1-0

The Tridents dropped two in a row when Gold Coast Hawks won in straight sets 10-2 and 5-5.

In their final game on day four, which was shown live on Fox Sports and Kayo, the Tridents played a must-win game against bottom-side Tweed Heads Osprey and went agonisingly close but came up just short losing 4-5 and 4-4.
