Australian Disability Championships

Four of our Tasmanian Bowlers with a Disability have travelled to Western Australia to compete in the Multibowl National Disability Championships being held at Kardinya Bowls Club.
Day 1 saw the Tasmanian quartet drawn against home state Western Australia before coming across the bowling powerhouses of New South Wales and Queensland in the triples disciplines.  Stephen Lockey who is a regular at this event lead, with James Amos as second and Rick Ormerod as skip.  Alan Ryman played with South Australia with numbers uneven.
The all Tassie trio had some close encounters, losing their first game against WA 13-15.  Unfortunately game 2 bought about similar fortunes against NSW with a mere 1 shot loss on a last bowl measure, before securing their first win of the event against the undefeated QLD team.
