Introducing Michael Sims
Michael Sims keeps going from strength to strength as he has worked his way through the junior ranks into the men’s State Open Team. Having been a member of the State squad since he was 13, Simsy earned himself his first cap for Tasmania at last years Sides Championships in Bendigo, and what a memorable first outing it was! He and Robert McMullen claimed the Australian Super 6 Pairs Title and of course the selectors could not go past giving them the nod again this year to head back and defend their Title at South Burnie, starting on Friday 28th March. ‘Aussie’ as he has been nicknamed by his teammates after making his debut for Australia in the Junior ranks at last years Trans Tasman against New Zealand, has just concluded another stint in the green and gold at the 2014 Trans-Tasman doing his part to assure Australia’s victory in taking the overall honours and keeping the trophy on our shores.
