Veolia Environmental Services Statewide Pennant

by admin on February 26, 2014

The final 2 rounds of the Veolia Statewide Pennant series will conclude this Sunday 2nd March when the representative sides from each region embark South Burnie Bowls Club, the hosts of the 2014 Australian Sides Championships to be held later this month.  It will be a tight race to the end with the North currently holding the lead in all three events; the Open Men’s and Open Women’s Statewide Pennants and the Bowling Club Insurance Brokers Under 18 Statewide Pennant held at Burnie Bowls Club.
In the Men’s Statewide Pennant the North West are closely trailing the North by 8 points, with both their sides taking on the Northern Side in both matches that day, setting up a thriller right to the end.  While the Northern women hold a mere 5 points from the Southern women, with both regions playing each other in the final match of the series in the afternoon, with that game possibly determining the 2014 champions.  The BCIB under 18’s series however see’s all three regions still well and truly in the hunt with only 5 points between top and bottom.
