Bowls Tasmania Executive Officer employment
Bowls Tas are searching for an Executive Officer An exciting opportunity exists to drive the operations of the sport of lawn bowls in Tasmania.
Bowls is played in Tasmania by 14,030 regular participants and is home to 73 clubs. Bowls Tasmania’s immediate stakeholders are the four bowls associations who govern the sport in their regional areas. Bowls Tasmania is governed by a board of directors (six elected and up to three appointed directors).
The Executive Officer reports directly to the Board and is responsible for the delivery of the operational requirements of the strategic plan and to provide effective and efficient communication to stakeholders.
Key selection criteria
The successful applicant must demonstrate proven experience in the following areas:
• Tertiary qualification in sports management or proven experience in sports management;
• Outstanding customer service skills;
• Exceptional administrative and organisation skills;
• Exceptional IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects;
• Advanced interpersonal skills;
• Outstanding presentation skills.

Please note: This position is a part time (30 hours per week) contract position through to July, 2014. Continuation of the contract will be negotiated three months prior to the conclusion of the contract. The preferred candidate will be required to complete a working with children and police check and must hold a current drivers license.
