Queensland wins the Prize
Queensland are third time winners of the States Seniors Competition.
The balmy weather continued on the final day of competition in the Men's Senior Competition at the North Launceston Bowls Club. A spring shower was the only weather glitch during the tournament and did not unduly effect the greens or the standard of play for Round 5 of competition.
The leaders of the competition after Round 4 faced the Apple Islanders and had no trouble overcoming the host state on three rinks 89- 38 to remain undefeated and top the table.
The WA-NSW clash developed into quite a cliff-hanger with WA clinching a win and the two points on the last end of play.
Victoria, with a two rink plus 32 shot win against ACT ensured their second place finish in the competition.
