Short ends- facts you didn’t know

First tournament win:
2007-08 SA state mixed pairs

How did you start playing bowls:
I was on long service leave at the time and was asked by a neighbour if I was interested in attending a 'come and try' at the Broadview Bowling Club. I loved the challenge straight away and when I went back to work asked if I could work part-time so that I could bowl and play pennant.

When did you start playing bowls:
2000

Who is your greatest influence in bowls:
Former South Australian coach Shirley Blackwell. Shirley was actually running the "come and try" day and saw my potential. I asked her if I could play for Australia one day and she said with lots and practice and determination I could achieve anything I wanted.

Best player you have competed against and why:
Carmen Anderson would have to be the most competitive player I have played against, she is just so mentally tough. Also she is able to get the crowd on her side with her personality on the green.

Aspirations beyond bowls:
I think I will play bowls forever, but hopefully I can squeeze in some more overseas holidays.

Who is the greatest influence in your life:
My family. They have been so supportive and know the sacrifices I have made to try and be the best I can be.
